What is Low Vision ?

A person with Low vision is one who has impairment of visual functioning even after treatment and standard refractive correction, and has visual acuity of less than 6/18 ( 20/60 ) to light persception, or visual field less than 10 degree from point of fixation or reduced contrast sensitivity in better eye . But who uses or is potentially able to use vision for the planning or execution of a task.

Difficulty in mobility independent travel
Bumping on object

Need for additional lightining while reading
